This privacy policy applies specifically to MediaKit.
Overview
MediaKit is designed to convert, compress, and transform your files entirely on your Mac. Your files are your business. This policy explains what information MediaKit processes, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Data Collection
MediaKit processes files you explicitly provide through drag-and-drop, file picker, or clipboard paste. This includes video, audio, image, PDF, archive, and ebook files. All processing occurs locally on your Mac. MediaKit does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information.
Data Storage & Processing
All file processing occurs in memory or in temporary local directories on your Mac. MediaKit does not operate its own servers. Output files are saved to locations you choose. If you choose to use macOS features such as backups or iCloud Drive, your files may be included according to your system settings.
Third-Party Services
MediaKit does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. MediaKit does not communicate with any external servers. All processing uses native Apple frameworks including AVFoundation, CoreImage, PDFKit, Vision, Speech, and Compression. Apple may process limited data as part of services you choose to use, such as the App Store and in-app purchases.
Children’s Privacy
MediaKit is a general-purpose file conversion tool and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page, and the effective date will be updated accordingly.
