Overview
Millrace is a tile-delivery puzzle game for iPhone and iPad. Privacy here is not a setting you switch on — it is a property of how the app is built. Millrace has no account system, no servers of its own, and makes no network requests. This policy explains exactly what the game stores, what leaves your device (and only when you choose it), and who handles it.
Data Collection
Millrace does not collect personal data.
Data Storage & Processing
Everything Millrace records stays on your iPhone or iPad. Your progress through the 64 campaign levels, your Freeplay scores and best tile, daily-board results and streaks, the Coach's record of your recent Freeplay games, unlocked themes, undo balance, and your settings are saved locally using Apple's SwiftData and UserDefaults. Millrace operates no servers, so there is nowhere for that data to be sent. It is not synced to iCloud, and deleting the app removes it from your device.
Third-Party Services
Millrace contains no third-party software of any kind — no analytics, advertising, attribution, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs. Its App Store Privacy Manifest declares no collected data types, no tracking, and no tracking domains, and the only Required Reason API it declares is local UserDefaults storage (reason CA92.1), used to save your own settings and progress. Two optional Apple services do involve Apple when you choose to use them. If you sign in to Game Center, Apple processes your scores, campaign progress, and achievements under Apple's own privacy policy, and you can play the entire game without it. If you buy a theme pack, an undo bundle, or leave a tip, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store — Millrace never sees your payment details, and no identifier of ours is attached to it. The app also offers links that open outside it (the App Store listing, this policy, and Apple's standard licence terms); opening one hands you to Apple or to your browser in the normal way. Finally, if you choose to email support from inside the app, Millrace pre-fills a message with four diagnostic lines — the app version and build, your device model, your iOS or iPadOS version, and your locale — so that a bug report is useful without a conversation. Nothing else is attached, and the app cannot send it: the message opens in Apple's mail composer and goes nowhere unless you tap Send.
Health & Sensitive Data
Millrace requests no permissions at all. It does not ask for and cannot access your camera, photos, microphone, location, contacts, calendars, or health data, and it collects no health, financial, or biometric information. There is no account to create, no email address to hand over, and no sign-in of any kind.
Children’s Privacy
Millrace is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the game collects no personal information from anyone, this holds equally for players of every age. Parents should note that Game Center is an Apple service governed by Apple's own terms and can be managed through Screen Time and Family Sharing settings.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time — for example if a future version of Millrace adds an optional feature that changes what is stored. Any changes will be published on this page, and the summary above will always describe the version of the app currently on the App Store.
