Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies specifically to Pawza.
Overview
Pawza is a private pet health record keeper for iPhone and iPad. Privacy is a structural part of how Pawza is built, not an afterthought: there is no Pawza account and no Pawza server. This policy explains what information Pawza processes, where it is stored, and the choices you have.
Data Collection
Pawza processes only the information you choose to enter or capture in the app — your pets and their details, vaccinations, medications, weight entries, vet visits, grooming logs, notes, reminders, and the photos and vet documents you add. When you scan a document, Pawza reads its text and structures it into records entirely on your device. Pawza does not collect or transmit your data to external servers for advertising, analytics, or tracking purposes, and it requests no tracking permission and no advertising identifier (IDFA).
Data Storage & Processing
By default, all of your pets' records, photos, and documents are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData. If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your own private iCloud database and synced across your devices through your Apple ID using Apple's infrastructure — and is compatible with Apple's Advanced Data Protection. Pawza does not operate its own servers for storing your data, and Lagerland Apps never receives, sees, or stores a copy of it.
Third-Party Services
Pawza does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. Apple processes limited data as part of services you choose to use, such as iCloud sync, App Store purchases and subscriptions, and local notifications, under Apple's own privacy terms. Pawza does not share your data with any other third party.
Health & Sensitive Data
Pawza stores pet health information you enter — including vaccinations and medication courses — and the photos, documents, and notes you add. Document scanning uses Apple's on-device Vision framework to read text, and on devices with Apple Intelligence (iOS 26 and later) an on-device model structures that text into records; this processing happens entirely on your device and the documents are never uploaded to a Pawza server. This information is used only to provide the app's record-keeping, reminders, summaries, and PDF export features. Pawza does not sell, share, or use this data for advertising.
Children’s Privacy
Pawza is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page, and the "Last updated" date will be revised accordingly.
